In the News: Sex-assault survivors can get legal services

From the El Paso Times:

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, more than 530 sexual assaults were reported in the El Paso area in 2014.

A 2015 study from the University of Texas at Austin estimates that less than 10 percent of victims report their assault to law enforcement.

Through partnerships with the Center Against Sexual and Family Violence and the Family Crisis Center of the Big Bend, TRLA’s LASSA Project ensures that survivors have access to free legal services from the moment they turn to a crisis center or shelter for help.
